This event is FREE but please RSVP!
Saturday July 18th at Jarvis Creek Park (rain date: July 25)
This event follows the Birding 101 on 6/20 but it is not necessary to have attended the earlier session.
In our follow-up session, we'll put those new skills into practice. We'll review key concepts, tackle some identification challenges, learn a few birding-by-ear techniques, and encourage participants to make more of the identifications themselves. By the end of the series, you'll have a stronger foundation and more confidence for enjoying future bird walks and outdoor adventures.
Bring binoculars if you have them. A limited number of beginner binoculars will be available to borrow. Dress for the weather, wear comfortable walking shoes, and bring water. We expect to walk up to 1½ miles over approximately two hours at a leisurely pace with frequent stops.
Meet at the fishing pier near the restrooms.
Whether you've never picked up a pair of binoculars or simply want a refresher, we'd love to help you discover the joy of birding.
CAPACITY IS LIMITED TO 12 PEOPLE.
