Let’s Light Up the Lantern Parade!

Join Hilton Head Audubon for a creative workshop on Friday October 9, 2026 and a glowing night at the Lantern Parade on Saturday, November 14, 2026! Our spectacular, oversized Red Knot lantern will lead the way, accompanied by our own colorful lanterns celebrating horseshoe crabs and birds.

At the workshop, you’ll transform a plain paper lantern into your own parade creation. We’ll provide lanterns, stencils, and colorful tissue paper. You’ll trace and cut out shapes, arrange your design, and attach the tissue-paper decorations to your lantern. Use the stencils for inspiration, add waves and splashes of color, and let your creativity shine—every lantern can be different!

Bring a pair of scissors and your imagination! No artistic experience is needed—just a willingness to have fun and get creative with fellow parade participants.

By registering for the workshop, you are committing to walk with Hilton Head Audubon and carry your decorated lantern in the parade. Come create with us, then join the flock as we light up the night!
