Workday at Audubon Newhall Preserve

A “Magnificent Seven” volunteers participated in the April Second Saturday Work Day! Shown above from left to right are Linda Yeomans, Sally Lippmann, Peter Swakopf, Karen Lucy, Sal Gioia, and Vice-Chair Lynn Hodgson. Not shown is camera-shy photographer and Fearless Leader, Bob Clemens.
Lynn, Sal, and Peter scrubbed pollen from the interpretative panels and benches throughout the Preserve. Linda and Sally cleaned and sanitized the bird feeders while Karen blew off the Newhall Trail to Audubon Pond. Bob (Have chainsaw. Will travel.) removed two deceased sumacs from the parking area and pollinator garden. Mother Nature cooperated by providing absolutely gorgeous weather for the Work Day.
Our next Newhall Work Day will be Saturday May 10th. We will gather in the parking lot by 8:30 AM for Donuts and will send everyone home by 10 AM. Refreshments will be provided. RSVPs are not necessary, but helpful, to Rclemens318@gmail.com. May the Forest be with you!
